What is Bremner Ridge?

Bremner Ridge sits elevated, faces North and shares boundaries with the lifestyle Tuscany Estate.

A starting contour of some 85 meters, Bremner Ridge is exposed to expansive views over new and old Flat Bush, the under development Ormiston Town Centre, the fully-functional Barry Curtis Park and out to the Auckland landmark Rangitoto Island along with the world famous Auckland Sky City Tower and the city skyline.

This 40 hectares of land was part of Major Bremner’s farm and residence from 1934 to 1943.

The character of Bremner Ridge inherits the casual rural aesthetic of the site. The architecture and landscape design is inspired by elements commonly found in the countryside including sheds, cottages, post and batten fences, and greenery.

Spend time with the family and be safe in the knowledge that Bremner Ridge offers a great opportunity for children to go to an excellent range of schools close to home and ample room to play in the fresh air with family and friends, and enjoy the company of pets.

Bremner Ridge is envisioned to be a place that is welcoming, safe, and attractive. With that in mind, elements of common areas including walkways, linear parks and footpaths, pavements and the cafe have all been expertly considered to enhance the quality ‘countryside’ feel of the community.

About Bremner Ridge

Technically Bremner Ridge sits at the highest point in the whole of Flat Bush region, hence there are views literally from all four directions.

The whole project is split by the main road that will also serve as a connection between Tuscany Estate and main stream Flat Bush. This main road is intersected by two side roads that provide the access to al 315 lots in three entry points:

  • Michael Bosher Way
  • Flat Bush School Road
  • McQuoids Road

Enjoying the country surrounds and the vantage point, the masterplan sets the mood up by enforcing design guidelines for residents in order to preserve and promote the country heritage of the site.

Essentially the masterplan incorporates country lifestyle themes and projects them into the mainstream medium density residential lot, this makes Bremner Ridge a unique development.

At delivery the project is deemed to have 315 sites of various sizes. In the simplest of terms, the residential sections are formed at the peak of the hill that is rebranded as Bremner Ridge and is surrounded by all lifestyle sections.

A careful road layout ensures that all roads are curved, yet again promoting the country lifestyle surrounding Bremner Ridge.

The crown jewel of the whole subdivision is Major Bremner’s cottage. The intention is to turn this into a cafe/eatery, providing a ‘heart’ for this new community. This cottage will sit on the top of a central park which will be connected with cycle ways and footpath’s that span the whole subdivision.

The two intersecting roads are also lined with linear parks to ensure the subdivision looks green and breathable which will be a stark contrast to the Flat Bush streetscape.

The site is central to most sought-after schools and is within 4km radius to all the major amenities and conveniences of South/East Auckland including two university campuses, medical facilities, train station and access to motorway interchange Auckland, South and Airport bound.

Overall Bremner Ridge is will create an upmarket country inspired community that will enjoy its own park, a child care center, cafe/eatery, incredible school zones and still be located within a stone’s throw away from the all the convenience of suburban living.

Once finished, Bremner Ridge will mark the completion of Flat Bush on the Eastern boundary ensuring there will never be any competition.
